Tofino is located in the Pacific Rim National Park, which is on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in western Canada. It’s part of the Canadian province of British Columbia, which is world-renowned for great outdoor vacations and adventures.
Within the park you'll find Long Beach, one of the most attractive oceanfronts in all of Canada, and the tiny village of Ucluelet, also facing the mighty Pacific Ocean.
The closest major international airport is Vancouver International Airport. By air, the most common route would be flying into Vancouver, and then taking a commuter flight to Nanaimo, BC. The distance from Nanaimo to Tofino is 208 kms (130 miles) and it's a 3 hour journey by road. Nanaimo is also accessible by BC Ferries from Vancouver.
Another way of travel to Tofino is by flying or sailing into Victoria, BC. Getting to Victoria is easy from Vancouver and Seattle, WA. The distance from Victoria to Tofino is about 321 kms (200 miles) and travel time by car is about 5 hours.
